Starting Where I’m At

Hey there, and welcome to my dusty little corner of the world wide web!

I’m Jai – a designer, illustrator, and all around visual storyteller who’s always been drawn to the space where creativity meets connection. Whether I’m working on playful character illustrations, building out brand identities, or chasing new ideas while waiting in the school pick-up line (shoutout to my fellow parent-creatives!), my work is rooted in curiosity, color, and care.

This blog is a space for all the parts that don’t always fit into a polished portfolio: the wildly, messy middle of the creative process, the sudden sparks of inspiration behind a project, the things I’m learning as I balance motherhood with a career in design, and the behind-the-scenes look at how an idea comes to life – from sketchbook scribbles to final files.
